Lorient dry port

Project challenge

The port of Lorient wanted to modernise its infrastructure to improve the management and handling of boats. The aim was to automate the storage and removal of boats, facilitate the work of operators by reducing complex manoeuvres, maximise its reception capacity and ensure safe handling with no risk of damage.

Solution implemented

ACG designed a robotised storage and handling solution based on :

An automated forklift truck on rails, capable of lifting and moving boats safely to their storage locations ;

A system of optimised metal racks, enabling a large number of boats to be stored on several levels while guaranteeing fast, efficient access ;

An intuitive management interface, making it easy to plan launches and departures ;

Fully automated movements, reducing the risk of human error and improving the fluidity of operations.

Thanks to this installation, the dry port of Lorient benefits from significant space savings, reduced handling times and increased safety for boats and operators.
